NONESUCH
(sometimes known as Mercy Street with a slightly different line up).

NONESUCH are that strangest of things, a rock band with a folksy edge. Formed from the ashes of popular English folk rock band MERCY STREET, NONESUCH sprang into life at the end of February 2000 and their first few gigs have already shown that the magic is still there!

The NONESUCH sound merges elements of roots, rock, folk and pop to produce a sound that is truly original, exciting and enticing. Check out the world of Nonesuch on their own website

Nonesuch are:
Angus Nurse - Bass/Vocals
Ade Thomas - Guitar/Vocals/Mandolin
Jim Abbot - Guitar
Pete Gyles - Electric fiddle
John Carr - Drums/Vocals

August 11th - a review of a Hot Rods Gig on a very hot Friday night.

Just to say a big thank you for introducing the NSRA to the very talented Mercy Street. As you know they played on the Friday evening during the Hot Rod SuperNationals at Old Warden Park, Bedfordshire.

To be honest from the off they were up against things as the evening was so hot and sticky the majority of our participants never ventured into the marquee but instead congregated on the grass outside. The band must have felt they were playing to virtually no audience but that was not the case as although they were out of sight, the people outside were still listening.
On top of this we then had the problems with the generator which kept cutting out.

Despite it all the band remained professional and were very entertaining. The feedback we have had from our participants bears this out.
Once again thanks and please pass on our thanks and best wishes to the band.
